This website uses cookies to identify students. If your browser doesn't support cookies or you have disabled it, then you won't be able to login or purchase any courseware. If you use Internet Explorer, follow the steps listed below for a possible solution to fix any Login or Cookie problems.

Fixes for IE7 / 8

If you get a message that says " login successful, sending calling page"  but nothing happens.
This is related to the IE7 / 8, Pop-up Settings and Tabbed Browsing. 

Microsoft's IE 7 & 8 browsers treat our login page as a Pop-up (even though it's an iFrame not a pop-up)
and complicates the issue with tabbed browsing.

  1. Firslty, look for a message that indicates that pop-ups were blocked
  2. Click the message
  3. Allow pop-ups for the site

If you don't see a message, you can do this manually.
You'll need to allow pop-ups for:
  • www.culturalguiding.com and
  • www.secure.re4.co.za - Our secure encrypted communication website:
You'll find this setting in your Browser's Tools Menu.


Also ensure that you've enabled pop-up's and pages to open up in a new Tab of the current window and not a new window
Find this setting in Tools | Internet Options | General | Tabs | Settings.

In addition, hold down the Ctrl Key when clicking the Login button (this overrides the default pop-up rules).

Alternative solution:

Use an alternative Internet Browser such as FireFox - go to www.FireFox.com to download it free.

It may also stop the pop-up, but the warning is quite clear

Note: These fixes are only for Internet Explorer on a Windows platform

Fixes for IE5, 5.5, 6+

From the menu select Tools | Internet Options
Select the Security Tab
Select the "Trusted Sites" Icon (green with a right mark)
Click the "Sites" button
Type "https://secure.re4.co.za" into the text box.
Click the "Add button"
Uncheck the check box at the bottom of the window:	

("Require server verification...") Click the "OK" button (popup window closes)

Select the "Internet" Icon Click the "Custom Level" button "Enable" the "Access data sources across domains" option "Enable" the "Display mixed content" option "Enable" the "Launching programs and files in an IFRAME" option Click the "OK" button (popup window closes) Click the "OK" button (Internet Option window closes)

Additional fixes for IE 6 (after you've done the fixes above)

From the menu select Tools | Internet Options
Click the Privacy Tab
Click the "Advanced" button
Select both checkboxes
Select both "Accept" options
Click the "OK" button (popup window closes)

Click the "Edit" button
Type the website address you experience problems with into the text box: 

(e.g. volkswagenlearn.co.za) Click the "Allow" button Click the "OK" button (popup window closes) Click the "OK" button (Internet Options window closes)
